TripToTori will be playing a headline gig with support from returning guests BARRON and young local support from Ethan Young Music. £3 Entry!
TripToTori is a 5 piece alternative rock band from North Devon. They met whilst on a music college course in 2014 and have been creating music together ever since. Their modern mix of indie, alternative music linked with ambient guitar riffs and prominent bass lines give them a unique fit for any type of event or situation.
In 2014 they released their first single “Lowlands” than then led on to being the title of the 2015 EP featuring the upbeat start to the EP of Breathe. The EP tells a story through the ups and downs of life with the tracks continuing with Hold, moving slowly onto Lowlands and finishing with Tides, a massive reflection on how far the band have come.
TripToTori really started to gig in 2015 and are carrying on straight into 2016 being one of the biggest years they have to come, already having played such places as The Golden Lion Tap, Bideford Pallidium, The Thatch in Croyde and also can include Leopalloza festival just outside of Bude in the ever increasing list. With gigs already confirmed for 2016 and a 2nd EP just around the corner this is sure to be a big year for the young band from Barnstaple. Despite the recent line up changes this is the TripToTori they want everyone to hear and boy we can’t wait.
BARRON : ‘Passionate, emotional and powerful’ is how one critic described BARRON’s sound. This is as succinct yet accurate as it gets.
Since forming in the summer of 2014 having met through some of Manchester’s universities, BARRON have developed their sound, energetic live performances and burgeoning following to become one of the city’s leading acts. Radio airplay has also been significant including promotion by Mancunian DJ, Terry Christian, “A band like this would have been signed years ago. Its got that anthemic push about it, it’s and ambitious sound, it’s just quality”
Originating from a combination of Stockport, Devon and Yorkshire, BARRON are Alex Barron on piano and lead vocals, Lewis Jones on guitar and backing vocals, George Scott on bass and Aaron Haigh on drums.
Defined by the anthemic piano riffs that sit at the heart of their music, BARRON have created a unique and memorable feel good sound. With driving bass lines, powerful drums and haunting vocal melodies and their ‘arsenal of big tunes’, they are sure to leave you wanting to hear more. Another critic wrote ‘Delayed guitar riffs, Alex Barrons soaring voice and the sheer power of their sound beg to be played in massive venues’.
Along with gigs throughout the North of England, Wales, London and the South West of England, sold out shows at Manchester’s Deaf Institute, Sound Control and The Castle indicate just how popular the band’s sound is becoming. Summer festival appearances at Dot to Dot, Tramlines, Long Division, Blackthorn, Glass Butter Beach, Bankswood and topped off with a slot at Leeds Festival demonstrate their meteoric rise in their first full summer since forming.
They are returning to Devon for the first time in ages and will absolutely rock the stage! Presenting BARRON!
